KapStone Container Corporation was formed in November 2011 by KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation's acquisition of fourteen of U.S. Corrugated, Inc.'s manufacturing facilities. Those fourteen facilities, which had been the nucleus of the leading independent corrugated packaging company in the country, launched KapStone into the forefront of the corrugated packaging industry. The combination of exceptional converting facilities with the scale of KapStone's paper making capabilities, created one of the packaging industry's premier integrated manufacturers.
